Our mission

We believe every product decision should be made with complete information

We started Orbit because we were frustrated. As engineers and product managers at fast-growing companies, we kept watching the same pattern: a team ships a feature, three weeks pass, nobody can agree on whether it worked, and by the time someone pulls the numbers the moment to act has passed.

The tools existed. The data was there. But the gap between "we have analytics" and "we make better decisions because of it" was enormous — and almost no one was closing it.

Orbit is built to close that gap. Not by adding another dashboard you stop checking, but by making measurement the natural byproduct of building.

What we believe in

Truth over comfort

We show you data you can trust, even when it contradicts a hypothesis you liked. No smoothing, no cherry-picking, no vanity metrics by default.

Speed is a feature

A great answer tomorrow is often worse than a good answer now. We obsess over query latency, UI responsiveness, and time-to-insight as product requirements, not afterthoughts.

Privacy by default

Analytics doesn't have to mean surveillance. Orbit ships with PII detection, automatic masking, and data minimization tools turned on — not bolted on.

Customers are partners

Every major feature in Orbit was built with a customer team who had a real problem. Our roadmap is a collaboration, not a surprise. If you're blocked, we're blocked.

The team

Built by people who've lived the problem from both sides of the data pipeline.

How we got here

Q1 2022

The idea

Maya and Rafael, both data engineers at a Series B SaaS company, spend a month building internal analytics tooling for their product team. The experiment proves the concept. They quit and incorporate.

Q3 2022

Seed round

Orbit raises a $3.2M seed round led by Arclight Ventures to build the first production-ready version of the platform. First three enterprise beta customers go live.

Q2 2023

Public launch

Orbit launches publicly at SaaStr Annual. 600 teams sign up in the first 48 hours. The anomaly detection engine, built internally during beta, becomes the most-cited feature in signup surveys.

Q4 2023

Series A

$18M Series A led by Meridian Capital. Orbit expands to 24 people across engineering, product, and customer success. Session replay ships to Pro customers in November.

Today

2,000+ teams and growing

Orbit now processes over 40 billion events per month for teams in 62 countries. We're still the same company: obsessed with closing the gap between data and decisions.

Come build with us

We're a distributed team of 28 people who care deeply about craft, customers, and each other. Open roles across engineering, design, and growth.
